IN LABOR

We left our hotel in Beijing at 5:30a.m. and have made it to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. We are now in our hotel room looking over the chaos that is the street below. There are no traffic lights and cars, buses, trucks, pedestrians, babies in strollers, dogs in sweaters and are all clamoring for space in insane willy-nilly directions. It's both exhilarating and terrifying to watch. Oh, by the way, we are in labor and I think I'm going to hyperventilate.  It is now 2p.m. and we are supposed to go down to the hotel lobby at 3:45 because that is when the nannies will arrive with our babies, call out our names and hand us our children. Yup. I'm serious. That is how Steve and I are having a baby a world away from all we know. I am so excited and nervous and can't believe we are finally just a few hours away from holding our daughter! Breathe in, breathe out. Repeat. Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Please, everyone send us positive warm thoughts tonight.
We love you all dearly.
Jenn and Steve
