Leaving Beijing to go to Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.
Our first moment with our daughter. She couldn't be more perfect. This was taken on January 23rd at about 5:00p.m. We just kept gazing at her all night and are so incredibly thankful.
The next morning we had to get up and out of the hotel early to go to the Civil Affairs Office and finalize our adoption. We had to answer questions like, "Why did you want to adopt from China?" "Will you care for her and promise never to abandon or abuse her?" "What are your educational plans for her" and then suddenly, they stamped a page and one of the other parents took a photo with the Civil Affairs Officer. A few minutes later, we were handed a little red hard-bound book with her adoption certificate and Juniper officially became part of our family forever.

She is amazing and we are already in love. It's been a whirlwind couple of days and we are all exhausted so we will blog more tomorrow.
